(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Southern Luzon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in Albay, particularly in Sto. Domingo, Malilipot and Daraga; and in Sorsogon, particularly in Bulan and Matnog. 3.1-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Thursday, Oct. 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 103 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos at 6:45 a.m. Depth of focus was 39 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
