(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Sunday, Oct. 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 142 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos at 1:11 a.m. Depth of focus was 26 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Saturday, Oct. 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit  35 kilometers southeast of Tarragona at 2:53 a.m. Depth of focus was 149 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.4-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Saturday, Oct. 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 52 kilometers southwest of Sarangani at 7:22 a.m. Depth of focus of the quake was 259 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over Romblon

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over Romblon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in the Sibuyan Islands. PAGASA said these may persist within one to two hours and may affect nearby areas. “All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
