4.5-magnitude quake strikes off Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Thursday, Sept. 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 75 kilometers southeast of Cagwait at 4:57 a.m. Depth of focus was five kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Another suspect in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat blast nabbed

(Eagle News)–Another suspect in the blast in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat early this month has been arrested. The suspect was identified as Kamlon Tongab Camsa. The police said two hand grenades were seized from him. Earlier the police said four people behind the blast that injured at least seven people had been arrested. (Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Wednesday, Sept. 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 321 kilometers southeast of Tarragona at 12:55 a.m. Depth of focus was 40 kilometers.
