Yellow rainfall advisory hoisted over Zambales

(Eagle News)–A yellow rainfall warning has been hoisted over Zambales. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said under the warning in particular are Iba, Botolan, Cabangan, San Felipe, San Narciso and San Antonio. Meanwhile,  light to moderate rains over Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Quezon and Tarlac within the next two to three hours. Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains, PAGASA said, are affecting Metro Manila, Cavite, Rizal, Bataan, Laguna and Batangas.  

Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over Bataan, other areas

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over some provinces. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Bataan and Pampanga within the next two hours. 3.5-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Sunday, Sept. 15. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit off 25 kilometers northeast of Governor Generoso at 3:05 a.m. Depth of focus was 24 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.6-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Saturday, Sept. 14. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 361 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 10:42 a.m. Depth of focus was 15 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Cloudy skies with rainshowers expected over parts of N. Luzon

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over parts of Northern Luzon today, Sept. 14. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said these conditions will be experienced in Aurora due to the southwest monsoon. (Eagle News)-A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur on Saturday, Sept. 14. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 11 kilometers southeast of Tagbina at 7:23 a.m. Depth of focus was 4 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Heavy rainfall warning hoisted over parts of Mindanao

(Eagle News)–A heavy rainfall warning has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said an orange warning, which means flooding is threatening in these areas, is up over Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga City, Basilan and Sulu.
