Police probing driver of back-up vehicle in Espino convoy over ambush

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Nueva Vizcaya on Thursday, Sept. 12. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said  the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 7 kilometers northwest of Ambaguio at 8:01 a.m Depth of focus was 1 kilometer. The following intensities were reported: Intensity IV – Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya Intensity III – Atok & Bokod, Benguet; Tinoc, Ifugao Intensity II – Baguio City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Police recover alleged getaway vehicle of suspects in Espino ambush

(Eagle News)–Police have found the alleged getaway vehicle of the suspects in the ambush of former Pangasinan Gov. Amado Espino Jr. The discovery of the vehicle, which contained  two M-16 rifles, a face mask, clothes, and a cap, among others, took place only minutes after Wednesday’s attack that left, according to the police, one dead and several injured, including Espino. (Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Aurora on Thursday, Sept. 12. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 30 kilometers southeast of Casiguran at 5:38 a.m. Depth of focus was 10 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude earthquake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 161 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 6:24 a.m. PHIVOLCS said the depth of focus of the quake was 103 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck Oriental Mindoro early Tuesday, Sept. 10. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 14 kilometers northwest of Puerto Galera at 117 a.m. Depth of focus was 174 kilometers.
