(Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Monday, Sept. 16.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 6 kilometers northwest of Burgos at 5:56 p.m
Depth of focus was 6 kilometers.
The following intensities were reported:
Intensity III – Santa Monica, Surigao del Norte
Intensity II – Burgos and Pilar, Surigao Del Norte
The following instrumental intensity was recorded:
Intensity I – Surigao City
No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
