4.9-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Friday, Sept. 20.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 256 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 3:09 a.m.

Depth of focus was 131 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
