3.7-magnitude quake hits Occidental Mindoro

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 19 kilometers northeast of Paluan at 6:55 a.m.

Depth of focus was 12 kilometers.

The following instrumental intensity was recorded:

Intensity III – Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro; Calapan City

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
