4.1-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News) — A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Friday, Jan. 12. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:47 p.m. Its epicenter was 114 kilometers northeast of Lingig. The depth of focus was 14 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.0-magnitude earthquake strikes Masbate

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Masbate on Monday, Jan. 8. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 10:27 a.m. The epicenter was six kilometers northwest of Masbate. The depth of focus was 79 kilometers. (Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Sunday, Dec. 31. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake which hit at 8:52 a.m. was an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude quake that hit the province on Dec. 2. The epicenter of Sunday’s quake was 94 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan. The depth of focus was 17 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.9-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Thursday, Dec. 28. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 9:35 a.m. The epicenter was 12 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. PNR reopens Naga-Legazpi-Naga route

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Tuesday, Dec. 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 11:42 a.m. 91 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan, was an aftershock of the December 2 7.4-magnitude quake that hit the province. The depth of focus of the Dec. 26 quake was 24 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Saturday, Dec. 23. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake that hit at 8:49 a.m. was an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that hit the province on December 2. The epicenter of Saturday’s earthquake was 38 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan. The depth of focus was 30 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.0-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Thursday, Dec. 21. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake that hit at 5:06 p.m. was an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that hit the province on Dec. 2. The epicenter was 139 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan. The depth of focus was 43 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.5-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News) — A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Wednesday, Dec. 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:56 p.m., was an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that hit on December 2. The epicenter was 131 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan. The depth of focus was 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.  

4.4-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur early Wednesday

(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Wednesday, Dec. 13. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake that hit at 1:49 a.m. was an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude quake that hit the province on December 2. The epicenter of Wednesday’s quake was 131 kilometers east of Hinatuan. The depth of focus was 13 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
