4.5-magnitude earthquake strikes off Zambales early Sunday

(Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Zambales early Sunday, Feb. 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 1:34 a.m. at 80 kilometers off San Antonio. The depth of focus was five kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.9-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental early Saturday

(Eagle News) — A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Saturday, Feb. 4. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:03 a.m. The epicenter was 228 kilometers southeast of Sarangani Island. The depth of focus was 143 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

5.5-magnitude earthquake strikes off Eastern Samar early Saturday

(Eagle News)– A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Eastern Samar early Saturday, Jan. 28. (Eagle News) — A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Quezon early Thursday, Jan. 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 12:27 a.m. The epicenter was 43 kilometers northeast of Patnanungan, Quezon. The depth of focus was 32 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were reported: Instrumental Intensities: Intensity II – Pasacao, Camarines Sur; Polillo, Quezon No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

5.9-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Tuesday, Jan. 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake that hit at 10:13 a.m. was an aftershock of the 7.0-magnitude quake that struck the province on January 18. The epicenter was 303 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 27 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.7-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental early Monday, Jan. 23

(Eagle News) — A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Monday, Jan. 23. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 6:49 a.m. Its epicenter was 74 kilometers southeast of Tarragona. The depth of focus was 83 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were reported: Intensity II – Nabunturan, Davao de Oro; Intensity I – Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental; Malapatan, Sarangani No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.8-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental early Sunday

(Eagle News)–A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Sunday, Jan. 22. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was an aftershock of the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit offshore Davao Occidental on January 18. The aftershock struck 330 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The quake hit at 4:06 a.m. The depth of focus was 60 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

4.3-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Saturday, Jan. 21. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake was an aftershock of the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit the province on Jan. 18. The 4.3-magnitude earthquake hit at 11:58 a.m. The epicenter was 327 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 29 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental early Friday, Jan. 20

(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Friday, Jan. 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was an aftershock of the 7.0-magnitude quake reported in the province on Jan. 18. PHIVOLCS said the 4.2-magnitude quake hit at 5 a.m. The epicenter was 288 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 19 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

PHIVOLCS: 154 volcanic tremors monitored in Taal; alert level 1 still in place

(Eagle News)–Over 100 volcanic tremors were monitored in Taal in the last 24 hours. Taal remains under an Alert Level 1. (Eagle News)–Over 100 volcanic tremors were monitored in Taal in the last 24 hours. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the 157 tremors lasted for two to five minutes.
