4.3-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Monday, April 25. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 6:14 a.m. The epicenter was 174 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 131 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.  

4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Saturday, April 23. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 6:26 a.m. The epicenter was 355 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 226 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Oriental

(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental on Friday, April 22. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake, an aftershock of the 5.5-magnitude earthquake on April 20, hit at 12:20 p.m. The epicenter was 140 kilometers southeast of Tarragona. The depth of focus was 75 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.  

6.1-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Oriental early Thursday, April 21

(Eagle News) — A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Thursday, April 21. (Eagle News) — A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Wednesday, April 20. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 5:20 a.m. The epicenter was 226 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 141 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.  

5.9-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Oriental

(Eagle News) — A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental on Tuesday, April 19. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 9:23 a.m. The epicenter was 54 kilometers southeast of Manay. The depth of focus was 49 kilometers. The following intensities were reported: Intensity II – Bansalan, Davao del Sur Damage to property and aftershocks were expected.

PCG: One dead, 3 hurt in cargo vessel fire off Talisay, Cebu

(Eagle News)–One person died and three people were hurt after a fire broke out in a cargo ship off Cebu on Sunday, April 17. According to the Philippine Coast Guard, the cause of the fire of M/V Romulo remains undetermined. The vessel has 20 crew members. It was anchored off Talisay when the fire broke out, the PCG said. The PCG said the fire was still being put out at press time.

P3.4 million worth of shabu seized in Calamba; 1 nabbed

(Eagle News)–Authorities seized P3.4 million worth of shabu in an operation in Calamba, Laguna on Thursday, the Philippine National Police said.
