4.0-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur early Saturday

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Saturday, Feb. 3.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:19 a.m.

The epicenter was 57 kilometers northeast of Lingig.

The depth of focus was four kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
