(Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Saturday, Feb. 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 8:51 a.m. Its epicenter was 392 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. The depth of focus was 51 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.1-magnitude earthquake strikes Occidental Mindoro

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro early Friday, Feb. 23. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5 a.m. Its epicenter was 22 kilometers northwest of Abra de Ilog. The depth of focus was 115 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 7:58 a.m. The epicenter was 16 kilometers southeast of Marihatag. The depth of focus was 23 kilometers. (Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Wednesday, Feb. 14. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake that hit at 3:59 p.m. was an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude quake that struck the province early December last year. The epicenter of today’s quake was 38 kilometers southeast of Hinatuan. The depth of focus was 28 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.
