Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of Mindanao

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Dinagat Islands, Davao Oriental and Zamboanga del Sur within one to two hours. NDFP: No ceasefire violations on NPA’s part in Iloilo, Bicol clashes

(Eagle News)-A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro on Tuesday, Dec. 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 80 kilometers southhwest of Looc at 2:34 a.m. Depth of focus was 22 kilometers. Rizal, Laguna placed under state of emergency following deaths of 8 people reportedly after drinking “lambanog”

(Eagle News)-Rizal, Laguna has been placed under a state of emergency following the deaths of eight people after  reportedly drinking lambanog. Gov. Ramil Hernandez made the announcement in a Facebook post on Monday, Dec.23, a day after over 100 people were also rushed to the hospital for downing the drink. Several hurt in grenade attack in Cotabato City ahead of Duterte visit
