PNR gets two additional train sets

(Eagle News)–The Philippine National Railways now has two more train sets. PNR General Manager Junn Magno said the two new 8100 series Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) sets, which were sent off at the Tutuban station on Thursday, Feb. 20, consist of eight new rail cars. PPA posts over P7.2 billion in net income in 2019, reportedly its highest so far

(Eagle News)–The Philippine Ports Authority has reported over P7.2 billion in net income in 2019, reportedly its highest so far. According to the PPA, its data showed that the  P7.280 billion was 31% higher than the 2018 figure of P5.553 billion. AirAsia to resume flights between PHL, Taiwan this week

Around 450 passengers unloaded after MRT-3 train encounters electrical failure

(Eagle News)–Around 450 passengers were unloaded from a Metro Rail Transit-3 train on Monday, Feb. 17. The MRT-3 management said in a statement the passengers were unloaded at the Cubao station at 5:56 a.m. after the  motor of the train, which was heading southbound, encountered an electrical failure. MRT-3 briefly suspends train ops from Ortigas to North Ave. on Sunday morning

(Eagle News)–Train operations from Ortigas to North Ave. stations were briefly suspended due to a broken stretcher bar  on Sunday morning, the Metro Rail Transit-3 said.
