PHL gov’t deports 18 Japanese nationals involved in telco fraud

(Eagle News) — The Philippine government has deported 18 Japanese nationals who were arrested last year in Makati City for telecommunications fraud. Eric Distor designated NBI officer-in-charge

(Eagle News) — The National Bureau of Investigation has a new officer-in-charge. President Rodrigo Duterte has designated NBI deputy director for intelligence service Eric Distor to the post following the retirement of Dante Gierran. Distor is the temporary chief of the NBI until President Duterte sees a replacement for Gierran. Distor’s appointment was effective Feb. 23.
