Cancelled flights on Friday, Sept. 22

PHL registers 7.874% crime rate drop: PNP

(Eagle News)–The Philippines has registered a 7.874% crime rate drop this year, the Philippine National Police said. According to the PNP, this translates to 11,975 fewer incidents reported from January 1 to Sept. 17. Also seized in 34,496 operations was P7.2 billion worth of illegal drugs. 16,297 cybercrime cases probed from January to August: PNP

(Eagle News)–The Philippine National Police has investigated over 16,000 cybercrime cases from January to August. PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group Director Brigadier General Sydney Hernia said of the 16297 cybercrime cases, online scams were the most prevalent. Customs bureau seizes P42 million worth of smuggled rice in Zamboanga City

(Eagle News)–The Bureau of Customs has seized P42 million worth of what authorities said was smuggled rice following a raid in a warehouse in Zamboanga City.
