4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental early Thursday

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Thursday, Sept. 21.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:33 a.m.

The epicenter was 176 kilometers southeast of Balut Island.

The depth of focus was 96 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.
