Former San Juan Mayor Guia Gomez back in hospital due to COVID-19, pneumonia

(Eagle News) –Former San Juan Mayor Guia Gomez will again be admitted to the hospital due to COVID-19 and pneumonia. Former Senator JV Ejercito said his mother got a spot in the hospital after a week of waiting. “She was confined already last December after testing positive,” Ejercito said. PHL logs 8,276 additional COVID-19 cases; total at 1,028,738

(Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases in the Philippines reached 1028738 on Thursday, April 29, after the Department of Health reported 8276 additional cases. According to DOH data, of the total cases, 69354 were active. Of the active cases, 94.9 percent were mild, 1.6 percent asymptomatic, 1.1 percent critical, 1.4 percent were severe, and 0.92 percent were moderate cases. DFA reports 31 more COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos

(Eagle News) — Thirty-one more overseas Filipinos have tested positive for COVID-19. Recent Department of Foreign Affairs data showed the additional cases pushed the COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad to 18301. DOTr: Incentives to drivers participating in gov’t service contracting program increased

(Eagle News) — Higher incentives are now given to drivers participating in the government’s Service Contracting Program. (Eagle News) — Philippine COVID-19 cases reached 1,020,495 on Wednesday, April 28, after the Department of Health reported 6,895 additional cases. DOH data showed of the total cases, 67,769 were active. Of these, 94.9 percent were mild, 1.6 percent asymptomatic, 1.1 percent critical, 1.4 percent were severe, and 0.95 percent were moderate. Navotas Rep. Tiangco tests positive for COVID-19

PNP opens third quarantine facility in Camp Crame for PNP COVID-19 patients

(Eagle News) — The Philippine National Police has opened another facility to accommodate the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases among police personnel. In a statement, the PNP said the PNP General Hospital Extension Covid-19 Ward has 96 beds, 16 cubicle shower rooms and other amenities needed by COVID-19 patients.
