(Eagle News)-A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Sarangani on Sunday, Dec. 22. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 15 kilometers northwest of Malungon (Sarangani) at 5:28 a.m. Depth of focus was 34 kilometers. Government, NDFP reps recommend truce from Dec. 23 to Jan. 7, 2020

Tropical depression may enter PAR on Monday, Dec. 23

(Eagle News)–A new tropical depression may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the tropical depression was so far located 2115 kilometers east of Mindanao, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kph and gustiness of 60 kph. President Duterte’s approval rating surges to 87 percent in December

(Eagle News)-President Rodrigo Duterte’s approval rating surged to 87 percent in December, a Pulse Asia survey showed. The 87 percent registered by the President  was nine points higher than the 78 percent he garnered only three months earlier, in September. (Eagle News)-A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Maguindanao on Saturday, Dec. 21. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 8 kilometers southeast of Buluan at 4:48 a.m. Depth of focus was 26 kilometers. LTFRB extends Angkas test-run period to March 2020; two other players included
