Parts of Visayas under heavy rainfall warning

(Eagle News) — A heavy rainfall warning has been hoisted over parts of Visayas. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said a yellow rainfall warning has been hoisted over Leyte, Southern Leyte, Bohol and the southern portions of Samar and Eastern Samar. 3.7-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Friday, March 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 11:38 a.m., had its epicenter 403 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of focus of 51 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of Mindanao

(Eagle News)–An alert level 2 remains hoisted over Taal. (Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Leyte on Thursday, March 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 4:38 a.m., has its epicenter 2 kilometers northeast of Leyte. It had a depth of focus of 7 kilometers. An instrumental intensity II was felt in Naval, Biliran. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)– Batanes and Babuyan Group of islands will have  cloudy skies with light rains today. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said this was due to the northeast monsoon affecting Extreme Northern Luzon.
