PHL approves limited face-to-face classes in areas with minimal risk for COVID-19

(Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases in the Philippines rose to 2,366,749 on Sunday, September 19, after the Department of Health reported 19,271 additional cases. According to the DOH, of the total cases, 178,196 are active. Former Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman passes away at 68

(Eagle News) — Former Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman passed away on Sunday, Sept. 19. Vice President Leni Robredo made the announcement in her weekly radio show. Soliman was 68 years old. No other details are immediately available at the moment. Soliman was first appointed head of the Department of Social Welfare and Development during then-President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s administration. She served in the same capacity during then-President Noynoy Aquino’s term.
