(Eagle News) — Over 100 more police personnel have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Philippine National Police said the additional 162 cases pushed the total PNP COVID-19 cases to 38219.

Of these, 2611 are active.

Recoveries rose to 35495, with the addition of 170 recoveries.

The PNP COVID-19 death toll remains at 113, with no additional deaths.

The police are among the priorities in the country’s ongoing COVID-19 vaccination program as members of the A4 category.

PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar said over 50 percent of policemen–or 57.97 percent–have been fully vaccinated.

Eleazar received his first COVID-19 vaccine dose in June.
