Two helicopters from Turkey acquired

(Eagle News) — The Philippines has acquired two helicopters from Turkey. According to the Office of the Press Secretary, the acquisition of the “ATAK” helicopters was part of the modernization of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Inflation further accelerated to 8% in November: PSA

(Eagle News) — Inflation rose to 8% in November, the fastest since the 9.1% recorded in the same month last year. The Philippine Statistics Authority said this was also faster than the 7.7 percent in October 2022. With this month’s inflation, the country’s average inflation rate from January to November 2022 stands at 5.6 percent. Bicameral committee approves consolidated version of proposed P5.268-trillion national budget for 2023

(Eagle News) — The bicameral committee has approved the proposed P5.268-trillion budget for 2023. Senate finance panel chair Sonny Angara said included in the approved version was the P150-million confidential and intelligence fund allocated to the Department of Education. (Eagle News)–The Philippines logged over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases. According to the Department of Health, the 1,234 new cases pushed the COVID-19 tally to 4,039,978. Of these, 18430 are active cases.
