QC confirms 87 COVID-19 cases, 13 deaths

Seven recover (Eagle News)–The Quezon City government has 87 confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 cases. In an update posted on its official Facebook account, the local government said of the 87, 13 have died and 7 have recovered. The city has 39 people under investigation, and 234 patients under monitoring. In Metro Manila, Quezon City has the most number of COVID-19 cases so far. The Philippines has over 600 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Cebu province now under enhanced community quarantine

(Eagle News)–Cebu province is now under an enhanced community quarantine. Governor Gwen Garcia made the declaration in Executive Order No. 5-N signed on Wednesday, March 25. MIAA releases list of operational flights

(Eagle News)–The Manila International Airport Authority  has released its list of operational flights. MIAA said the  list was as of Thursday, March 26: “Due to the evolving situation in the Philippines and foreign ports of entry, the airlines MAY randomly CANCEL their flights for the day,” MIAA said. MIAA said in such cases, passengers were  encouraged to coordinate with the airline for instructions.

Staff member of SC associate justice tests positive for COVID-19

(Eagle News)–A member of the staff of a Supreme Court associate justice has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019. A statement from the Office of  Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier said the staff member had a fever which persisted from March 12 to 18. Senator Imee Marcos: Bongbong arrived from Spain feeling “unwell,” underwent test for COVID-19

(Eagle News)–Former Senator Bongbong Marcos has undergone the coronavirus disease 2019 test after feeling “unwell” upon his arrival in the country. This is according to his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, in a message on Thursday, March 26. “He came back from Spain unwell. Finally got a test two nights ago, getting better at home,” she said.
