4.5-magnitude quake strikes off Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Sunday, Sept. 1. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 35 kilometers northeast of Cortes at 7:48 a.m. Depth of focus was 13 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

JUST IN: 5.1-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Saturday, Aug. 31. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 10 kilometers southeast of Baculin at 9:02 p.m. Depth of focus was 25 kilometers. The following intensities were felt: Intensity II – Bislig City, Mati City Instrumental Intensity II – Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental Aftershocks are expected, PHIVOLCS said.

3.2-magnitude quake hits Cagayan

(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Cagayan on Saturday, Aug. 31. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 37 kilometers northwest of Santa Ana at 3:57 p.m. Depth of focus was 12 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.0-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Friday, Aug. 30. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 50 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 8:19 a.m. Depth of focus of the quake was 130 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.2-magnitude quake hits N. Samar

(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Northern Samar on Thursday, Aug. 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 16 kilometers northeast of Mapanas at 7:25 a.m. Depth of focus of the quake was 15 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.4-magnitude earthquake hits N. Samar

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude quake hit Northern Samar on Monday night. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 25 kilometers northwest of Pambujan at 9:40 p.m. Depth of focus was 20 kilometers. An Intensity III was felt in Pambujan. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.4-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Monday, Aug. 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 301 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 2:58 a.m. Depth of focus was 103 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

JUST IN: 3.0-magnitude quake hits Cagayan

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Cagayan on Sunday, Aug. 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 9 kilometers southwest of Claveria at 2:59 p.m. Depth of focus was 11 kilometers. An instrumental intensity I was felt in Claveria. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

3.0-magnitude quake hits Occidental Mindoro

(Eagle News)-A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro early Saturday, Aug. 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 12 kilometers southeast of Paluan at 2:20 a.m. Depth of focus was seven kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.9-magnitude quake hits Lanao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Lanao del Sur on Thursday, Aug. 22. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 3 kilometers northwest of Wao at 12:42 p.m. Depth of focus of the quake was one kilometer. An intensity III was felt in Kalilangan, Bukidnon, while an instrumental intensity I was experienced in Cagayan de Oro City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.0-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Thursday, Aug. 22. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 28 kilometers southeast of Tarragona at 6:30 a.m. Depth of focus of the quake was 5 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.2-magnitude quake hits Batangas

(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Batangas early Tuesday, Aug. 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 4 kilometers northwest of Cuenca at 2:26 a.m. Depth of focus was 28 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were recorded: Intensity III- Talisay, Batangas Intensity II- Tagaytay City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
