(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Batangas early Tuesday, Aug. 20.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 4 kilometers northwest of Cuenca at 2:26 a.m.
Depth of focus was 28 kilometers.
The following instrumental intensities were recorded:
Intensity III- Talisay, Batangas
Intensity II- Tagaytay City
No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
