(Eagle News)–A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Saturday, Aug. 31.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 10 kilometers southeast of Baculin at 9:02 p.m.
Depth of focus was 25 kilometers.
The following intensities were felt:
Intensity II – Bislig City, Mati City
Instrumental Intensity II – Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental
Aftershocks are expected, PHIVOLCS said.
