(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake hit Davao Oriental early Friday, Aug. 9. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 6 kilometers northeast of Mati at 3:43 a.m. Depth of focus was 1 kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.7-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude quake hit Davao Occidental on Thursday, Aug. 8. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 85 kilometers southwest of Sarangani at 6:43 a.m. Depth of focus was 87 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.0-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur early Tuesday, Aug. 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 2 kilometers northwest of Carmen at 2:53 a.m. Depth of focus was 136 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.4-magnitude quake hits N. Samar

(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck Northern Samar on Sunday, Aug. 4. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 25 kilometers northwest of Pambujan at 7:17 a.m. Depth of focus was 16 kilometers. An intensity II was felt in Palapag, Northern Samar and Irosin in Sorsogon. An instrumental intensity I was felt in Borongan City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.4-magnitude earthquake hits Batanes

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Batanes on Saturday, Aug. 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the earthquakes in the province on July 27, hit 28 kilometers southeast of Itbayat at 7:55 a.m. The depth of focus was 15 kilometers. An intensity IV was felt in Itabayat. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Successive quakes hit Itbayat, Batanes; strongest so far recorded at 6.4 magnitude

  (Eagle News) – A magnitude 6.4 quake shook Itbayat, Batanes on Saturday morning, July 27, about three hours after another quake of a slightly lower magnitude struck the area. (Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Thursday, July 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 77 kilometers northeast of Burgos at 8 a.m. Depth of focus was 1 kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.1-magnitude quake hits Sultan Kudarat

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Sultan Kudarat on Wednesday, July 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 10 kilometers southeast of Columbio at 8:57 a.m. Depth of focus was 19 kilometers. An Intensity III was felt in Kidapawan City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.5-magnitude quake hits Romblon

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Romblon on Tuesday night. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 6 kilometers southeast of San Jose at 9:54 p.m. Depth of focus was 9 kilometers. An intensity IV was felt in Malay, Aklan, PHIVOLCS said. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

4.1-magnitude quake hits Batanes

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Batanes on Monday, July 22. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 126 kilometers southwest of Itbayat at 12:06 p.m. Depth of focus was 2 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
