3.7-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur on Sunday, July 21. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 5.5-magnitude quake in the province on July 13, hit 4 kilometers southeast of Carrascal at 10:38 a.m. Depth of focus was seven kilometers. An intensity III was recorded in Cantilan and Carmen, and an intensity II in Lanuza. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.2-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental early Sunday, July 21. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, struck 19 kilometers northwest of Cateel at 2:30 a.m. Depth of focus of the quake was 14 kilometers. An instrumental intensity I was felt in Bislig. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.3-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur early Thursday, July 18. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 5.5-magnitude quake in the province on July 13,  hit 14 kilometers southwest of Carrascal at 2:52 a.m. The quake, of tectonic origin, had a depth of focus of 5 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.    

3.4-magnitude quake hits Southern Leyte

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Southern Leyte on Wednesday, July 17. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 7 kilometers southwest of Hinunangan at 8:36 a.m. Depth of focus was one kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

PHIVOLCS launches app to help people prepare for quakes, and volcanic, hydro-meteorological hazards

(Eagle News)–The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology on Tuesday, July 16, launched an application that aims to help people prepare for earthquakes, and volcanic and hydro-meteorological hazards. 3.0-magnitude quake hits N. Cotabato early Tuesday, July 16

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck North Cotabato early Tuesday, July 16. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 15 kilometers southwest of Makilala at 12:54 a.m. The quake, PHIVOLCS said, was an aftershock of the 5.6-magnitude quake that hit the province on July 9. An Intensity III was felt in Kidapawan City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

  (Eagle News) — A magnitude 5.9 quake shook Bohol early Tuesday, July 2, at about 1 a.m., according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). (Eagle News) — A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur early Friday, June 21. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, struck 74 kilometers northeast of Cortes at 4:55 a.m. The depth of focus was 12 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

JUST IN: 3.9-magnitude quake hits Isabela

(Eagle News) — A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Isabela on Thursday, June 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, struck 30 kilometers northeast of Maconacon at 4:40 p.m. The depth of focus was 23 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.    

3.0-magnitude quake hits Negros Oriental

(Eagle News) — A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Negros Oriental on Wednesday afternoon. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 51 kilometers southwest of Basay at 4:41 p.m. The depth of focus was 33 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
