(Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Sunday, Sept. 1.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 35 kilometers northeast of Cortes at 7:48 a.m.
Depth of focus was 13 kilometers.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
