DFA reports 34 more COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad

(Eagle News) — Thirty-four more COVID-19 cases have been reported among overseas Filipinos. The Department of Foreign Affairs said with the additional cases, the COVID-19 total among Filipinos abroad rose to 13056. Twenty-seven more have recovered, pushing the recovery total to 8488. (Eagle News)–Over 200 Filipinos were repatriated from Thailand on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The Department of Foreign Affairs said the 240 Filipinos who returned to Manila from the Suvarnabhumi Airport included four distressed families with children from the south of that country. (Eagle News)–The number of Filipinos repatriated from Thailand rose to 1581 over the weekend after the government repatriated over 100. In a statement, the Department of Foreign Affairs said the 129 took their flight from the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok on Aug. 29.
