DOH announces 32 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total to 262

  5 other patients recover, one dies (Eagle News)–The Department of Health on Saturday, March 21, announced 32 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 in the country, bringing the total to 262. According to the DOH, five other patients have recovered. With the development, 13 patients have so far recovered. Another patient has died, bringing the total to 19.  

DOH official: 3 hospitals to be exclusively used for COVID-19 patients ready next week

Former UP Asian Center dean passes away due to severe pneumonia, COVID-19

(Eagle News)–A former dean of the University of the Philippines’ Asian Center has passed away due to severe pneumonia caused by the coronavirus disease 2019. In an advisory, UP Diliman said Dr. Aileen S.P. Baviera, one of the country’s foremost sinologists, died in the San Lazaro hospital at 3:55 a.m. today. No other details were available. The Philippines has recorded over 200 COVID-19 cases.
