(Eagle News)–Thirty-six million pesos worth of smuggled cigarettes have been seized at the port of Manila recently, the Bureau of Customs said. Customs bureau exceeds yearly P10-billion rice tariff target in 7 months

(Eagle News)–The Bureau of Customs has exceeded its yearly P10-billion rice tariff target in seven months. The bureau said it collected the P10.728 billion in revenues from January to July 17 for remittance to the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund under  the Rice Import Tariffication Law,  an 8 percent increase from the P9.936 billion collected for the same period in 2019. (Eagle News)–The Bureau of Customs has intercepted from a Pasay warehouse over $15,000 misdeclared as personal documents. (Eagle News)–Misdeclared cigarettes worth over P32 million were intercepted at a Manila port recently, the Bureau of Customs said. According to the BOC,  the shipment of 1092 cigarettes estimated at P32.7 million was intercepted by  Enforcement and Security Service personnel at the Manila International Container Port on July 2. Customs bureau surpasses June target revenue collection by P1.8 billion

(Eagle News)–The Bureau of Customs has surpassed its June 2020 revenue collection target by P1.8 billion, with P42.539 billion collected that month. Customs bureau reports P487 million in additional revenues from post-clearance audits on importers

(Eagle News)–The Bureau of Customs has collected P487 million in additional revenues as a result of its post-clearance audits on importers.
