Cities of Cebu, Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu want to remain under ECQ

PHIVOLCS: No tsunami threat to PHL following strong quake off Pacific

(Eagle News)–There is no tsunami threat to the Philippines. This is according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, which issued the  advisory after a strong earthquake hit Santa Cruz Islands in the Pacific on Wednesday, May 13 (Philippine time). PHIVOLCS said the quake had a magnitude of 6.6 but the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre pegged it at 6.6. The EMSC said the depth was 129 kilometers.  

QC gov’t places 20 areas in five barangays under 14-day “special concern lockdown”

Cavite gov’t releases additional guidelines for implementation of GCQ starting May 16

Suspected Abu Sayyaf member killed, another hurt in clash with military in Basilan
