ICT department reiterates need for National Broadband Program

(Eagle News)–The Department of Information and Communications Technology reiterated the need for a government-owned national fiber network even as it noted improvements in the country’s Internet speed. Customs bureau seizes P1.1 million worth of kush marijuana in coffee packs

(Eagle News)–The Bureau of Customs has seized P1.1 million worth of kush marijuana from the port of Clark. In a statement, the bureau said the 980 grams of the illegal drugs were concealed in packs of imported coffee from California. 3.9-magnitude quake hits Camarines Sur early Sunday

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Camarines Sur early Sunday, Sept. 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 5:48 a.m., had its epicenter 14 kilometers southeast of Bacatan. It had a depth of four kilometers. An intensity I was reported in Legazpi City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were so far reported.

Gov’t unveils new road for better access to Calapan port
