(Eagle News) — A rainfall advisory has been hoisted over portions of Ilocos Sur due to the northeast monsoon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rains are expected over  Vigan City, Sta. Catalina, Caoayan and San Ildefonso. 3.1-magnitude quake hits Cagayan

(Eagle News) — A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Cagayan on Thursday, Nov. 28. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 41 kilometers northeast of Claveria at 5:37 a.m. Depth of focus was 17 kilometers. An instrumental intensity II was felt in Pasuquin, Tarlac. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.4-magnitude quake hits Sarangani

(Eagle News) — A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Sarangani on Wednesday, Nov. 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit seven kilometers southeast of Kiamba at 6:16 p.m. Depth of focus was 20 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were felt: Intensity III- General Santos, South Cotabato Intensity I- Kiamba, Sarangani No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rains are expected over portions of Dilasag and Casiguran and Aurora within an hour. Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains are being experienced over Palanan,San Mariano, Dinapigue, San Agustin in Isabela; and Maddela in Quirino. 3.9-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Wednesday, Nov. 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 137 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 9:38 a.m. Depth of focus was 10 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Monday, Nov. 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 82 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos at 8:10 a.m. Depth of focus was 63 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits N. Samar

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Northern Samar on Sunday, Nov. 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 46 kilometers northeast of Mapanas at 5:05 a.m. Depth of focus was 24 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck Masbate on Saturday, Nov. 23. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 5 kilometers northeast of Pio V. Corpuz at 11:04 a.m. Depth of focus was 12 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were felt: Intensity I- Legazpi City; Masbate City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of Mindanao

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Zamboanga Sibugay and Sulu  within one to two hours. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 107 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 7:18 a.m. Depth of focus was 46 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
