90 more COVID-19 recoveries reported among police personnel

(Eagle News)–Ninety more police personnel have recovered from COVID-19. The Philippine National Police said the additional recoveries pushed the recovery tally to 5,456 as of Friday night, Oct. 9. Fifty-one additional COVID-19 cases, however, were reported. With the additional cases, the tally rose to 6347. Of these, 871 were active. Casualties reported in Bilibid clash: BuCor

(Eagle News)–Casualties have been reported after a clash between two warring groups in the New Bilibid Prison early this morning. Bureau of Corrections spokesperson Gabriel Chaclag said the clash between the warring Sputnik and Commando gangs took place at 2:30 a.m. The number of injured has yet to be determined. Chaclag said a probe is also ongoing.

(Eagle News)–Twenty-three more police personnel have recovered from COVID-19. The Philippine National Police said with the additional recoveries, the PNP COVID-19 recovery tally rose to 5367. Twenty-six new COVID-19 cases, however, pushed the total to 6296. Of these, 909 were active. One additional death brought the death toll to 20. (Eagle News)–The Manila International Airport Authority has released its list of operational commercial flights for Wednesday, Oct. 7: Flight schedules are subject to changes. Domestic flights are allowed but subject to the requirements imposed by the local government unit covering the area of destination. The Philippine National Police has also suspended the issuance of travel authority for those going to Negros Occidental until Oct. 9. Restrictions on international travel remain.
