Palace: First batch of Filipinos from China to arrive on Saturday, to be quarantined

(Eagle News)–The first batch of Filipinos who opted to leave China amid the novel coronavirus outbreak will arrive over the weekend, the Palace said on Wednesday, Feb. 5. (Eagle News)–Alert level 3 remains hoisted over Taal as it continues to spew steam-laden plumes and its seismic activity. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said activity in the main crater in the past 24 hours has been characterized by weak emission of steam-laden plumes 50 to 100 meters tall. MMDA: Pasig River ferry operations suspended starting Wednesday noon

(Eagle News) — Operations of the Pasig River Ferry will be suspended starting noon on Wednesday, Feb. 5. In a short advisory, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said this was to give way to the dry run of the Pasig River Cruise project of the Department of Tourism and the MMDA. PHL ports open to ships from China, special administrative regions but disembarkation of vessel crew banned– PPA
