DOLE says more than 2 million workers in PHL displaced by COVID-19 pandemic

(Eagle News)–More than 2 million workers in the country were displaced by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Labor and Employment said. In a statement, DOLE said of the 2,073,362 workers displaced nationwide based on reports of  79,271 establishments as of April 24, Metro Manila reported the highest displacement figure with 687,634 workers. 5.2-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Monday, April 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 7:48 a.m., had its epicenter 164 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of 64 kilometers.
