(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental today. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 1:55 p.m., had its epicenter 304 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 33 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

PHIVOLCS: 104 quakes, weak vent steaming recorded at Kanlaon volcano in 24 hours

(Eagle News)–Over 100–or 104–earthquakes and weak steaming were recorded at Kanlaon in 24 hours. (Eagle News)–Four earthquakes and weak steaming were recorded at Taal within 24 hours. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the  earthquakes at the volcano, which remain on alert level 1, “are associated mainly with rock-fracturing processes beneath and around the edifice.” The weak steaming was observed from fissure vents along the Daang Kastila trail. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 12:49 a.m., had its epicenter 59 kilometers of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of 134 kilometers. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 3:37 a.m.,  had its epicenter 12 kilometers southwest of South Upi. It had a depth of 22 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.3-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental waters

(Eagle News)–A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental waters on Thursday, June 18. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 1:48 a.m., had its epicenter 479 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 178 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
