3.4-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Sunday, June 7. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 3:59 a.m. It had its epicenter 12 kilometers southeast of Surigao City, where an instrumental intensity II was recorded. Depth of focus was 24 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.7-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Saturday, June 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 12:32 p.m., had its epicenter 341 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 12 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

5.1-magnitude quake hits Occidental Mindoro

PHIVOLCS: Four quakes, moderate steaming monitored at Taal; volcano still on alert level 1

(Eagle News)–Four earthquakes and moderate steaming were monitored at Taal within a 24-hour period. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quakes at the volcano, which remains on alert level 1, were  associated mainly with “rock-fracturing processes beneath and around the edifice.” PHIVOLCS said moderate steaming  was observed from vents on the main crater and fissure vents along the Daang Kastila trail. (Eagle News) — A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Friday, June 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:53 a,m, Its epicenter was 400 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. Depth of focus was 10 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Sulu today. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:13 a.m. It had its epicenter 230 kilometers southeast of Banguigui. Depth of focus was 608 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.3-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Wednesday, June 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 2:58 p.m. It had its epicenter  211 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. The depth was pegged at 129 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News) — A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Tuesday, June 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 3:12 p.m, had its epicenter 431 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of  44 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental today, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said. According to PHIVOLCS, the quake, which hit at 9:06 p.m., had its epicenter 211 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 68 kilometers.
