DILG: BFP to assist local health authorities in implementing Oplan Kalinga program

Fire hits Pandacan, Manila

(Eagle News)–A fire struck Pandacan, Manila on Saturday, Feb. 1. The fire broke out past 10 a.m. and was still raging as of 1 p.m. The Manila Public Information Office said the blaze, which  affected a San Miguel Corp. Warehouse, has now reached Task Force Bravo, according to information from the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office. At least six dead in Manila fire

(Eagle News) — At least six people died after a fire hit a residential area in Manila on Thursday, Jan. 16. Authorities said the fatalities in the blaze that hit houses at the corner of Katamanan and Yuseco Streets in Tondo at 2:38 a.m. included a mother and her three children. The fire reached the third alarm and was put out at 7:14 a.m. Around 20 houses were reportedly destroyed.

QC fire leaves at least three people dead

(Eagle News)–At least three people were killed after a fire gutted a house in Quezon City early Friday, Oct. 11. Authorities have yet to identify the victims in the blaze that hit the two-storey house in Blue Ridge A Subdivision past 2 a.m. The fire reached the second alarm. Star City rejects BFP finding arson caused fire

At least three killed in Tondo fire

(Eagle News)–At least three people–including two minors–were killed after a fire hit a residential area in Tondo, Manila on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire that struck several houses at Honorio Lopez. The fire reached the second alarm. No other details were available so far.  

Blaze destroys some vehicles in Manila traffic impounding area

(Eagle News)–Several vehicles caught fire at the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau  on Thursday, April 11. Authorities said the fire at the MTPB Impounding Extension Area on A. Mabini Street took place past 3 a.m. The cause of the fire, which was put out after a few minutes, has yet to be determined. Damage to property has also yet to be determined.    

33 families lose homes in Caloocan fire; BFP says arson possible

(Eagle News)–At least 33 families lost their homes after a fire believed to be intentionally started hit several houses and a motorshop in Caloocan on Friday, March 8.
