(Eagle News) — Over one million pesos worth of property was damaged in a fire that hit a residential area in Makati on Monday night. Fire authorities said apart from the P1.5 million worth of property destroyed in the blaze in Barangay South Cembo, over 30 families were displaced. The cause of the fire, which took place four days after the start of the Fire Prevention Month, has yet to be determined.

Fire hits Valenzuela cargo firm
(Eagle News)–A fire broke out in a cargo company in Valenzuela on Saturday, March 2. The Bureau of Fire Protection said the blaze hit the Aquair Cargo Movers Co. in Barangay Ugong at 4:22 p.m. The fire reached the second alarm. It was put out at past 5 p.m. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the blaze. There were no reported casualties.

Authorities said Johnson Ong was hurt in the blaze that hit the building at the corner of Craig Street and España Boulevard in Sampaloc before 5 a.m. The blaze only reached the first alarm. It was put out at 4:45 a.m. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
