UPDATED: At least five injured, 300 families affected in QC fire

At least five people were  injured in a fire that hit a residential area in Quezon City on Wednesday, May 23, and destroyed property worth P500,000.

An on-scene spot report said Francis Francisco, 28, was injured in the fire that first hit the third floor of the house owned by Rodney Pedregosa on Asparagus St., Palanas, Barangay Vasra, at 5:05 p.m.

Also injured in the fire that hit around 200 houses were Merilyn Reilla, Yoss Acer Murillo, Cris Fures and Alfredo Ravella.

Around 300 families have been affected.

A fifth alarm was hoisted on the blaze until it was put out around 8 p.m.
