COVID-19 cases in PHL breach 7000 mark; 762 recoveries, 477 deaths recorded

(Eagle News)–The number of coronavirus disease 2019 cases in the country has breached the 7000 mark, with 211 new cases reported. The Department of Health said of the 7192 total COVID19 cases, 762 have recovered. This includes the 40 new recoveries. Fifteen new deaths were also reported, bringing the total to 477. Cebu Pacific: May 1 to May 15 flights still canceled

(Eagle News)–Cebu Pacific on Friday, April 24, announced its flights from May 1 to 15 remain canceled in view of the extension of the enhanced community quarantine in many parts of Luzon. (Eagle News)–The number of COVID-19 Las Piñas has reached 125. The local government said Talon Dos has recorded the most cases, with 18. DFA repatriates over 800 OFWs from UK, Equatorial Guinea, Congo, Australia

(Eagle News)–The Department of Foreign Affairs has recently repatriated over 800 Overseas Filipino Workers. In a statement, the DFA said 818 OFWs from the UK, Equatorial Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo and Australia arrived on three separate chartered flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Thursday afternoon and early morning Friday. 3.6-magnitude hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Friday, April 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 5:11 a.m., hit 293 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 21 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.
