Taal update: 6 quakes, weak steaming monitored; volcano still on alert level 1

(Eagle News)–Six earthquakes and weak steaming were monitored at Taal in the last 24 hours. BOC: 1.5 tons of illegally imported meds, beauty products destroyed

(Eagle News)–The government has destroyed 1.5 tons of illegally imported beauty products and medicines, the Bureau of Customs said over the weekend. 6.6-magnitude quake strikes off coast of Japan: USGS

TOKYO, Japan (AFP) — A strong but deep 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of southwest Japan early Sunday, the US Geological Survey said, but no tsunami warning was issued. 4.9-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 4.9-magnitude earthquake hit Davao Oriental on Saturday, June 13. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 10:10 a.m., had its epicenter 182 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso. It had a depth of 79 kilometers.
