(Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Sunday, Oct. 4. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 6:19 a.m., had its epicenter 45 kilometers northeast of Bayabas. It had a depth of 19 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–COVID-19 cases in the country reached 319,330 on Saturday, Oct. 3, after the Department of Health reported 2674 new cases. Of the 319,330 cases, 58606 were active.
