3.2-magnitude quake hits Cagayan

(Eagle News)–A mild 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Cagayan on Monday, Nov. 11. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 40 kilometers northeast of Claveria at 6:54 a.m. Depth of focus was 21 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over Cavite, other areas

(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude quake struck Cotabato on Sunday, Nov. 10. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 24 kilometers southeast of Tulunan at 11:16 a.m. Depth of focus was 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

DOTr: New passenger terminal at Clark airport over 87 percent complete

(Eagle News)–The Clark International Airport’s new passenger terminal is now over 87 percent complete. The Department of Transportation said in a statement the 87.61 percent completion rate of the new building was as of Saturday, Nov. 9. The agency said only the utility building and ancillary facilities, among others, are undergoing various stages of completion. (Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck Davao del Sur on Sunday, Nov. 10. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 22 kilometers southwest of Davao City at 1:30 a.m. Depth of focus was 11 kilometers. The following were recorded: Intensity: Intensity IV – Davao City Instrumental Intensity: Intensity I – Kidapawan City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.1-magnitude quake jolts Cotabato

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake hit Cotabato on Saturday, Nov. 9. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 22 kilometers southeast of Tulunan at 8:07 a.m. Depth of focus was 12 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

4.9-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Saturday, Nov. 9. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 225 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 3:57 a.m. Depth of focus was 70 kilometers. The following instrumental intensity was recorded: Instrumental Intensity: Intensity II – Malungon, Sarangani No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
