3.1-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental early Wednesday, Nov. 13. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 46 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 1:36 a.m. Depth of focus was 20 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of Pangasinan

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Pangasinan. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are being experienced over portions of Dasol, Mabini. PAGASA said these may persist for one to two hours and may affect nearby areas. “All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards,” PAGASA said.

3.0-magnitude quake hits Cotabato; Intensity II felt in Kidapawan City

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Cotabato on Tuesday, Nov. 12. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 13 kilometers northeast of Makilala at 12:37 p.m. Depth of focus was one kilometer. The following were recorded: Intensity Intensity II- Kidapawan City Instrumental Intensity Intensity I- Kidapawan City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.0-magnitude quake hits Eastern Samar

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake hit Eastern Samar early Tuesday, Nov. 12. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 83 kilometers southeast of Guian at 2:47 a.m. Depth of focus was 17 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.8-magnitude quake strikes off Batanes

(Eagle News)–A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Batanes early Tuesday, Nov. 12. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic, origin hit eight kilometers northwest of Itbayat at 12:54 a.m. Depth of focus was 77 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.4-magnitude quake strikes off Isabela

(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Isabela on Monday, Nov. 11. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 26 kilometers southeast of Palanan at 8:28 a.m. Depth of focus was 13 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.2-magnitude quake hits Cagayan

(Eagle News)–A mild 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Cagayan on Monday, Nov. 11. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 40 kilometers northeast of Claveria at 6:54 a.m. Depth of focus was 21 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude quake struck Cotabato on Sunday, Nov. 10. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 24 kilometers southeast of Tulunan at 11:16 a.m. Depth of focus was 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

DOTr: New passenger terminal at Clark airport over 87 percent complete

(Eagle News)–The Clark International Airport’s new passenger terminal is now over 87 percent complete. The Department of Transportation said in a statement the 87.61 percent completion rate of the new building was as of Saturday, Nov. 9. The agency said only the utility building and ancillary facilities, among others, are undergoing various stages of completion. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 22 kilometers southeast of Tulunan at 8:07 a.m. Depth of focus was 12 kilometers.
